Arriving in Sydney

The Kingsford Smith Airport is the main international and domestic airport. It is serviced by over 40 international airlines and all domestic carriers. It is about 10 kilometres (6 miles) south-west of the Central Business District and Sydney Harbour and is serviced by train, private coach service, shuttle buses and taxis (cabs).

Rental Car

Many rental car providers are available at Sydney Airport including Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Budget, Thrifty and Redspot. Rental car desks are located on the arrivals level at both terminals. Airport train

Sydney Airport is located just 13 minutes by train from the city. There are train stations located at both the International and Domestic terminals, which operate as part of the Airport Link train service.

The Domestic terminal train station is located directly between T2 and T3 terminals and is accessible from within the terminals from the Arrivals level.

The International terminal train station is located at the northern end of the terminal and is accessible from the Arrivals level.

By Taxi

Each terminal has its own sheltered taxi rank with supervisors on hand during peak times to ensure a smooth flow of taxis for travellers. Kerbside supervisors can also organise taxis with baby capsules, wheelchair access, five-seaters and maxi taxis for larger groups or station wagons for large amounts of baggage.

Limousines

All limousine services to and from the domestic and international terminals must be pre-arranged at Sydney Airport. It is against the law for drivers or their agents to approach you or to solicit a fare from you. If you intend to use a limousine but have not pre-booked, a reservation counter operated by Royale Limousines is located inside the arrivals area of the International Terminal (T1).

Bus services

There are many bus services that operate to and from Sydney Airport. See the options below to determine which service best suits your needs.

Sydney Buses operates a timetabled service, Route 400, between Bondi Junction and Burwood which stops at both the International (T1) and Domestic (T3) terminals. Clearly marked bus stops are located on the arrivals level outside each of these terminals.
